Pets Corner Harlestone
Pets Corner Harlestone is another pet shop hoping to appeal to Northampton pet owners. When visiting it’s clear from the branding and quality of the shop finish that this is a large chain of pet shops. Branches are often found within a Dobbies Garden Centre as is the case with both stores in Northampton. The branch that is often referred to as Pets Corner Northampton is actually just to the south of the town on Newport Pagnell Road. The branch we are looking at in this article is to the north west of the town, known as Pets Corner Harlestone Heath.

These opening hours compare well to most other pets shops in Northampton though they are not open as late as Pets At Home. Parking at the garden centre is free.
Pets Corner Harlestone – My Thoughts
Whenever I’ve visited Pets Corner Harlestone or indeed their other branches I’ve always been impressed. They seem to hold a decent stock of products considering their floor space and the shop is well laid out and welcoming. The sorts of products they sell include:
- Pet food and treats
- Dog toys
- Collars, leads & harnesses
- Dog beds & cages
- Flea and worm treatments
- Also products for cats, small mammals, birds, fish and reptiles
Looking at their online reviews it seems many locals like Pets Corner Harlestone and it’s easy to see why. Most of the positive comments mention the staff who seem to be both friendly and knowledgeable. A number of people leave glowing comments about their puppy classes which are a great way to help socialise your puppy as well as meet other Northampton based new puppy owners.
Being based opposite Harlestone Firs can’t hurt business. Harlestone Firs is a very popular dog walking location locally and having a shop so close means you can pop in if you’ve forgotten your dog poo bags or if you need to buy a new collar, lead or harness. Also contained within Dobbies Garden Centre is a cafe and some of the tables are dog friendly. The even have a dog cage for owners of dogs who won’t settle quietly by your table. I can imagine this cafe gets a decent amount of trade from dog owners who have either just walked their dog at Harlestone Firs or owners who have been shopping at Pets Corner.
